Following is the name Niran chose and why
GAMINI
Gamini actually means "gait like." The word gamini
is derivative from the term "gaja gamini". It is an
Indian (as in India) term. Translated the entire term
means "one who has the gait like an elephant". It is
in reference to poise, beauty and a characteristic
walk.
Why did I think of Gamini? The word is femine and
strong. I do not know if the elephant in your drawing
is a cow or a bull, but it had a feminine, yet
commanding presence. The eyes... I guess that's what I
meant when I said beautiful.
I know my explanation is a little random... hope it
made some sense.
Looking forward
to hearing from you.
Thanks & Regards,
Niran
CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN NIRAN!!
WE ASKED NIRAN TO WRITE US ABOUT HERSELF
"About me - I'm 25, born and raised in Asia, have lived in the Bay Area for 2 years, a free spirit, someone in love with the simple act of creativity, be it mind, music, movement, pen or brush. I'm passionate about my family, Amreeta and the people in my sphere. I seek bubbles bursting with life and energy! (if that makes any sense). I hope to be blessed with adventure and knowledge for a long time to come." -Niran Kaur
